   ABOUT OUR PRECINCT   

Spirit on The Avenue is a multi-award winning, master-planned residential and commercial development. The building was completed in June 2014 and was officially opened by former Chief Minister, The Honourable Adam Giles. 

 

The building was developed by NT developers Osborne Family Holdings, as the second stage of the incredibly successful Hastings Over Mindil project, which is located further along on Salonika Street. Hastings Over Mindil was one of Darwin's first resort style precincts, renowned for it's clever design and resort-style amenities that promote our unique tropical lifestyle. 

The Avenue's ideal location is only 2km from the Darwin CBD and walking distance from schools, Mindil Beach Casino & Resort, the iconic Mindil Beach Markets, Sailing and Ski clubs and the George Brown Botanic Gardens. Boasting all the convenience of city living without the constant hustle & bustle.

 

The Avenue is located on the second highest point of the Darwin peninsular, which makes for stunning panoramic views of the City, Darwin Harbour and surrounding suburbs. The Avenue Commercial precinct also boasts one of the most iconic territorian event spaces, The Atrium on The Avenue. The space, created as a break out or event space for the commercial tenancies, is available for hire for business or social events. The Atrium boasts the most up-to-date IT and AV systems, two stories of uniquely decorated space, a stunning installation of stainless steel magpie geese in V formation and a seven metre high natural gumtree!

Our feature gardens, including our two Atlantis grow walls featured on the South Eastern side of the building and on the back of our custom-built restaurant/cafe site create a unique appearance for the building and our topiary Drover's Run by Unique Topiary have are finally established after 5 Wet Seasons. The Drover's Run theme is a nod to the sites history with Vesteys Meatworks and includes two drovers on horses (one reared and one riding), a stud bull, 4 full sized cows and calf. 

 

With over 40 species of native plants (including indigenous medicinal gardens) and more than 80 native Allosyncarpia Ternata gumtrees having been planted to create 'The Avenue effect', our streetscape will only get more stunning and provide more shade for our street as the Development progresses.
